Anxiety Therapy in Walnut Creek
Are you…
… worried that anxiety is going to hit you at any moment?
… frequently worried?
… nervous in social situations?
… worried about what other people may say to something you say or do?
… afraid that a panic attach could strike at any moment?
… having a difficult time “turning it off” at the end of a long work day?
… struggling to fall asleep even though you feel physically tired?
… having a hard time relaxing because, when you do relax, your mind keeps racing?
… is your anxiety preventing you from living the life you want to live?
Living with anxiety is incredibly difficult. In fact, it’s exhausting.
I don’t want you to suffer anymore.
Anxiety is always worried about what could happen in the future. Therefore, living with anxiety is like being locked into “flight mode”. As a result, you’re living in anticipation for danger that could come in some future moment.
In one regard, anxiety is a very normal human experience that is necessary for survival. It’s important to feel anxious moments before a potential accident. Your natural instincts can kick in to help you avoid an accident.
Unfortunately, for many of us, anxiety is with us the majority of the day, every day. It can make it difficult to travel, complete work tasks, socialize and sleep. It can make it difficult to concentrate and easy to procrastinate. With time, anxiety can also lead to physical health issues, such as:
- Gastrointestinal problems (IBS, GERD, etc.)
- Headaches (tension or migraines)
- Body aches and pains
- Heart palpitations, or elevated heart rate
- Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
- and more.
This is where therapy can help.

As a Holistic Psychotherapist, I am very aware of the mind-body connection when it comes to mental health issues. In fact, holistic approaches are very effective in treating both anxiety and the health issues that are caused or worsened by anxiety.
I want to help you find lasting, long-term relief, that doesn’t involve taking a pill. I want to help you do the things you want to do free of anxiety.
Imagine being able to take a flight overseas that you never thought you could do because of your anxiety. Similarly, imagine being able to meet new people, socialize and connect with others worry-free.
With time and effort, I believe you can get there.
As your therapist, I will work with you to address your anxiety. We will explore together what may be the root(s) to your anxiety. Together, we will talk about what goes on in your brain, body and nervous system. Then, we will discuss how various holistic tools and techniques, such as Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Somatic Resourcing, Breath work, Guided imagery and more can access the right parts of your brain so you can heal and find relief.
Anxiety isn’t something that you “just need to learn how to live with”. Nor is anxiety something you can just “change your thoughts” about and it goes away forever.
Anxiety is much more complex.
The healing starts by accessing the right part of your brain.
In traditional talk therapy, we are accessing the part of your brain that is focused on conscious thought (the neocortex). However, with holistic methods, we focus on the part of your brain that stores the emotion of anxiety (the limbic system). In other words, by giving the core emotion of anxiety (and other related emotions) time and attention, healing is possible.
I’m glad you’re here, and I want you to know that things can start getting better today.
